Camera angles

Camera Angles

Camera angles are very important in the film industry as where ever the camera is, is where you place your audience so it is important that you know when to change angles and which ones too use.

This camera angle is a close up, if it was a close up on a human then it would normally be just the head.

A medium shot is when you get a person from there waist to there head. But there is a shot similar called the american shot where it would go a bit below the waist so that you could get weapon holsters in for western movies.

The long shot is basically where  you can see the head and feet of the person on camera.

This photo of the transporter bridge is a extreme long shot as it was taken so far away. You may see these shots in films to set the scene and the location of where it is set.
